An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the award-winning Derbyshire Catering Service.
We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Catering Supervisor to lead our kitchen team at Eckington Camm’s Endowed Primary School, Camms Close, Eckington, S21 4AU.
As Catering Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, service, and associated clerical tasks using a digital management system. You will play a key role in ensuring our service runs smoothly while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety.
The health and wellbeing of our customers is our top priority. You will be expected to follow all food hygiene and health & safety regulations and lead your team by example. As this role is based in a school, it is essential that you demonstrate a positive, friendly, and professional approach that supports a happy lunchtime experience for our pupils.
Qualifications and Experience
You will ideally:
- Hold an NVQ Level 2 in Catering and Hospitality (or equivalent), or have relevant experience
- Have a sound knowledge of Health & Safety and food hygiene requirements
- Hold a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or be willing to work towards this)
The starting salary within the grade is negotiable, depending on your current salary, experience, and qualifications.
