About Us:
Ada Belfield Centre provides high-quality, person-centred care tailored to individual needs across our 40 long-term residential beds. Located in the thriving town of Belper, we are proud of our strong community connections. Our site is shared with Belper Library and features an established community café, a popular destination for local residents.
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Unit Manager to lead our team and ensure the delivery of exceptional care that promotes choice, dignity, and respect. This role requires a strong background in excellent care delivery with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards. We welcome applications from candidates interested in joining us on a permanent basis or through a fixed-term contract.
Please note: As outlined in the Proposed Redesign of Residential Care for Older People cabinet paper, agreed on 20 February 2025, Derbyshire County Council will be exploring the transfer of the operation of this unit to a private care provider. The marketing process will start shortly.

Qualifications:
Successful candidates will hold a minimum level 4 Health & Social Care qualification, demonstrate management expertise in a residential home, have a proven track record in residential care, and possess knowledge of relevant legislation and policy.

The job may require unsocial hours working including weekends and Bank Holidays. Payment arrangements will be detailed in any contract offer made.
Saturday and Sunday hours will be paid at plain time where it is part of your normal working pattern unless it is between 7pm and 7am, where enhanced rates of pay apply. Enhanced pay rates are paid for Bank Holiday working.
