South Derbyshire has for many years been the fastest growing district in Derbyshire and is currently one of the fastest growing areas in England aiming to deliver over 12600 new homes by 2028.

This post of Planning Technician supports the Planning Delivery team in the handling of planning applications, appeals, enquiries, and monitoring.

You will be enthusiastic and self-motivated and will also have excellent communication skills and be able to work to tight deadlines whilst focussing on delivering good customer service.

You will need the skills to undertake a range of technical duties in what is both a challenging and fast paced role. You will be responsible for the validation of planning applications, coordination of discharge of conditions applications and responding to customer enquiries and prioritising the many tasks to support the diverse range of functions within the Service.
