Our Waste Collection and Streetscene Team is expanding, and this is your chance to be part of an exciting new initiative focused on food waste collection from homes and businesses, while supporting other vital Streetscene services.
Your work will directly contribute to a cleaner, greener North East Derbyshire—boosting recycling efforts and helping us build a more sustainable future.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Streetscene Operative, you’ll be at the heart of our operations. You’ll receive full training and work alongside a dedicated, high-performing team. If you’ve got experience in waste collection or street cleansing—and prepared for a role that involves regular high level of physical activity and teamwork —we want to hear from you!

🔍 What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Previous work in waste collection or street cleansing is a plus
- Team Spirit: Strong team working skills and ability to use mechanical lifting equipment
- Endurance: High physical output is essential
- Licence: Minimum Category B driving licence and experience with light commercial vehicles
- Attitude: A genuine commitment to providing good customer service
