Are you ready to take the wheel and make a real impact? North East Derbyshire is rolling out exciting new waste collection reforms, and we’re looking for skilled, motivated HGV Drivers to help lead the way. This is your chance to be part of a forward-thinking initiative focused on collecting food waste from homes and businesses—while supporting other vital Streetscene services that keep our district clean, green, and thriving.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Streetscene HGV Driver, you’ll play a key role in our waste and recycling efforts. You’ll receive full training and work alongside a dedicated, high-performing team that takes pride in making a difference every day. If you’ve got experience operating vehicles of at least 12 tonnes GVW, we want to hear from you!

What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Skilled in operating vehicles up to 12 tonnes GVW (training provided for up to 32 tonnes)
- Licence: Minimum Category C driving licence
- Mindset: Previous waste collection experience is a plus, but what matters most is your commitment to providing good customer service
