About the Role
We’re looking for a proactive Commercial Analyst to join our Digital Services team. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in commercial operations, procurement, and contract management within a dynamic public sector environment.
You’ll play a key role in supporting the management of IT contracts, procurement processes, vendor relationships, and compliance activities, ensuring that our digital operations run smoothly and deliver value for money.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in reviewing and managing IT and commercial contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and organisational standards.
- Monitor contract performance and support renewal and amendment processes.
- Support vendor relationship management, including communication, performance tracking, and issue resolution.
- Process procurement and purchasing requests in line with council and departmental policies.
- Conduct market research and assist in preparing Requests for Proposals / Quotes.
- Evaluate vendor proposals to ensure alignment with organisational needs and value for money.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to contracts, procurement, and compliance.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Basic understanding of procurement and contract management.
- Ability to interpret and apply policy and compliance frameworks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Problem Solving skills
- Good communication skills
- A good Analytic skillset
Desirable:
- Experience in a public sector or commercial support role.
- Familiarity with budgeting and financial processes.
- Knowledge of IT procurement and vendor management.
