Findern Primary School are seeking to appoint a caring, dedicated and highly motivated Specialist SEND Teaching Assistant to provide support for a child.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the child's educational, social, communication and personal development throughout the school day. The pupil is currently non-verbal and requires an individual who can implement specialist communication approaches, promote independence, and work closely with teaching staff, parents and external professionals to ensure the child can access all aspects of school life.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day.
- Support the child's learning, engagement and participation within the classroom and wider school environment.
- Use visual supports, communication systems and specialist strategies to develop communication and understanding.
- Work closely with the class teacher, SENDCo and external professionals to implement targets identified within support plans.
- Support the development of social interaction, independence and emotional wellbeing.
- Assist with personal care needs, including toileting, maintaining dignity and promoting independence wherever possible.
- Observe, monitor and record progress, contributing to reviews and meetings as required.
- Help create a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment in which the child can thrive.
