We’re recruiting: Senior Supervisor – Highways Operations
Join our Highways Operations Service as a Senior Supervisor and play a key role in keeping our county moving.
In this vital position, you’ll be required to assist with leading day‑to‑day highway construction and maintenance activities, ensuring safe, efficient, high‑quality delivery of resurfacing, drainage, safety improvements, and winter service operations. You will supervise teams, manage contractors, maintain compliance standards, and support the Depot Manager with programme planning and service resilience.
We’re looking for someone with:
- ✔️ Extensive experience in highways maintenance or civil engineering
- ✔️ Proven leadership of operational teams
- ✔️ Strong knowledge of health & safety requirements
- ✔️ Excellent communication and organisational skills
You’ll also take part in emergency response, winter service, and innovative, sustainable approaches to highways work.
This position is based at Darley Dale Highways Depot.
