A vacancy has arisen in our fabulous midday supervisor team. This post is for the current academic year but will be reviewed in the summer term and might continue should pupil numbers permit.
The hours of work are approximately 11:40am to 13:25pm, Monday to Friday, but could also include occasional team meetings and earlier starts, for example, the delicious school Christmas lunch! These will be paid as additional hours.
We are looking for someone with a calm and efficient manner who can work under pressure and who has the ability to communicate effectively with both adults and children. Lunch time is an important part of the day, and we are looking for staff to promote good behaviour and manners and to help the children feel happy and safe at lunchtime.
The successful applicant should be able to work as part of a team and, ideally, have experience of working with primary-aged children.
Duffield Meadows Primary School have recently brought in OPAL to improve our lunchtime provision for the children so the candidate will need to be willing to encourage the children in all forms of play whether that be sport, dressing up, construction, quiet play, or anything else! The children are loving our new arrangements and we are looking for someone with zest and enthusiasm to continue this trend.
