Are you passionate about delivering high-quality care and empowering others to live with dignity and independence? We are looking for dynamic and compassionate Deputy Unit Manager to join our Adult Social Care and Health team at Florence Shipley CCC.

🧠 About the Role

As a Deputy Unit Manager, you will support the CQC Registered Service Manager in leading a 24/7 residential care service. You’ll play a key role in ensuring safe, person-centred care, managing staff, and driving continuous improvement.

  • Focus on supporting individuals with dementia in a stimulating and supportive environment.
  • Champion person-centred dementia care and promote independence and well-being.

💼 What You’ll Do

  • Lead and supervise a dedicated care team.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and quality standards.
  • Manage resources effectively, including budgets and equipment.
  • Collaborate with families, professionals, and external agencies.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and best practice.
  • Work a rota of early and late shifts which include week end and bank holidays.

✅ What We’re Looking For

  • Significant experience in a residential care setting.
  • Proven leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, care planning, and relevant legislation.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant field.

  • Dementia care experience.

The job may require unsocial hours working including weekends and Bank Holidays. Payment arrangements will be detailed in any contract offer made.

Saturday and Sunday hours will be paid at plain time where it is part of your normal working pattern unless it is between 7pm and 7am, where enhanced rates of pay apply. Enhanced pay rates are paid for Bank Holiday working.
