Our Schools and Learning team play a vital role in supporting children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), and we are now seeking a dedicated Senior SEND Officer to join us in this important mission.
About the Role
This is a key position within our SEND service, where you will manage a caseload of children and young people with SEND, ensuring their needs are assessed, understood, and met through high-quality Education, Health and Care (EHC) plans. You will work collaboratively with schools, colleges, families, and multi-agency partners to secure positive outcomes and appropriate support.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead on assessments of need and contribute to the development of person-centred EHC plans
 - Attend annual reviews and manage appeals
 - Build strong relationships with families, carers, and professionals
 - Ensure appropriate placements and support are in place
 - Stay up to date with SEND legislation, case law, and best practice
 - Provide expert advice and guidance to stakeholders across the education and care sectors
