We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic full time (37 hours per week) Service Development Officer, to work within our Health Protection Team on a permanent basis.
The role will support the Health Protection core functions, requiring a range of skills, knowledge and public health expertise, to meet the needs of Derbyshire residents. The Health Protection Team is an integral part of the wider Public Health department and works in conjunction with internal and external partners to develop and support the implementation of programmes, to protect the health of our communities.
The Health Protection Team’s priority areas of work include:
- Communicable disease control (including vaccinations, infection prevention and antimicrobial resistance)
- Population screening
- The impact of the changing climate and extreme weather on health
- Emergency preparedness, resilience and response (EPRR)
Team members use their collaborative skills to engage with communities, provide expertise, address inequalities and influence positive change to benefit wider population health.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate how their skills will support the health of Derbyshire residents through engagement opportunities.
