Derbyshire Dales District Council is seeking a Property Solicitor to join our friendly and supportive Legal Team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse range of land and property matters that directly support the Council's ambitions for regeneration, housing, economic development and effective asset management.

The Role
You will manage a varied caseload of local authority property work, providing practical and solution-focused legal advice across a broad range of matters, including:
- Land acquisitions and disposals
- Commercial and operational leases
- Licences, easements and wayleaves
- Asset management and property portfolio matters
- Regeneration and development projects
- Property-related governance and decision-making
You will work closely with officers, senior managers and elected Members, helping to deliver projects that support the future growth and prosperity of the Derbyshire Dales.
About You
We are looking for a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEX) with experience of property law who:
- Has experience of advising on property transactions and land-related matters
- Can draft and negotiate a wide range of property documentation
- Provides clear, pragmatic and commercially aware legal advice
- Builds positive working relationships with clients and colleagues
- Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a small and supportive team
Experience within local government is welcome but is not essential.
