If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Digital Business Engagement team as a Business Relationship Manager.
This Business Relationship Manager position is a key role that acts as a strategic interface between Digital Services and the Adult Social Care & Health Department at Derbyshire County Council. This role is essential in ensuring that the Digital Strategy aligns seamlessly with the business objectives of the Adult Social Care and Health Department and that technology solutions effectively support and drive business success.
As a Business Relationship Manager, you will be the Digital Service's representative in the business, where you will be expected to build trusting relationships with the staff and senior leadership in those areas, learn and understand their business operation and needs, and advise and guide them in a strategic direction for delivery of Digital based business solutions. This will include:
- Collaborate with Digital Services teams to ensure the delivery of technology solutions that meet business requirements and are delivered on time and within budget.
- Drive the adoption of new technologies and continuous improvement of digital services to enhance business performance.
- Oversee IT and digital projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with business goals and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Act as a bridge between Digital Services and the business, ensuring clear communication and regular reporting on project status, performance, and alignment with business objectives.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with digital services and projects, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and organisational policies.
- Participate in budget planning for projects and monitor expenditure to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Lead change management initiatives related to Digital Services, ensuring smooth transition and minimal impact on business operations.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and partners to ensure quality service delivery and value for money.
- Responsibility for the development of ‘Product Roadmaps’ to ensure that they are aligned to the council’s digital architectural principles and to inform future resource allocation and demand management activities.
