Repairs Scheduler
South Derbyshire District Council is investing in its Housing Service to provide affordable homes and services for tenants. The Council would like to hear from proactive, enthusiastic and determined people who can help to develop and improve services that respond to the changing needs of customers and the new regulatory framework.
The successful candidate will be a pivotal part of the Repairs Scheduling and Administration team and support with the planning and resourcing of the day-to-day repairs service. Schedule and allocate work to operatives and contractors to maximise productivity. Work closely with contractors, supervisors and customer service teams to prioritise urgent repairs. Maintain accurate records and update our housing management systems, to ensure that all regulatory requirements for social housing providers are met.
You will serve as a primary contact for tenants, contractors, and other stakeholders regarding responsive repairs; handling enquiries via telephone, email, and in person. Raise, track, and manage works orders from start to finish, ensuring all tasks are accurately recorded and completed within agreed timescales.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in an administrative role, preferably within a social housing, property management, or maintenance environment. You will also be able to demonstrate strong organisational and time-management skills, with excellent attention to detail.
Effective relationship building, resource planning and management of contractors is essential to ensure consistent delivery and high levels of tenant satisfaction.
We are looking for applicants committed to equal opportunities, diversity, and good customer care to ensure our tenants receive an excellent service.
