Highways

  • Relevant Degrees (include but not limited to): Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Geography, Environmental Science, & Architecture.
  • Programme Description: Join our Highways department to help shape and enhance Derbyshire's environment, infrastructure, and economy. You'll be involved in designing, planning, and managing construction projects that improve our infrastructure. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a manual UK driving license is essential. Expect to be on-site or in the office up to 5 days per week.

You need to be willing to commit for two years of full-time work, to start in September 2025 until August 2027 (you'll of course get annual leave and bank holidays off!) and be able to work from our head office at County Hall in Matlock, on location around Derbyshire. Working arrangements are service specific, some placements may require 100% onsite work.

Initial interviews to be held at County Hall, Matlock and will be taking place w/c 28th of July 2025. We really look forward to hearing from you!
