We’re looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner to provide high-quality financial advice, insight, and challenge across service areas. You’ll support strategic decision-making, influence outcomes, and play a key role in delivering the Council’s medium-term financial strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and service leaders
- Lead on budget setting, monitoring, and financial planning
- Provide clear analysis and insight to support decision-making
- Challenge and influence to ensure value for money and effective use of resources
- Support development of financial strategies, business cases, and service improvements
- Monitor performance and drive continuous improvement in financial processes
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and statutory requirements
About You
- CCAB qualified (or equivalent) with substantial experience
- Strong background in financial planning, budgeting, and business partnering
- Proven ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in a complex organisation and managing competing priorities
Desirable: Local government finance experience
