Come and be a part of the Joint Environmental Health Service, delivering high quality, efficient and sustainable services to the semi-rural district communities of Bolsover and North East Derbyshire. Employed by North East Derbyshire with a ‘One Team’ culture we work flexibly across both district council areas.

We are seeking a dynamic Environmental Health Officer with professional EHRB or CIEH Registration to join our Commercial Team supporting our residents and businesses through effective food safety and health & safety regulation.  You will be expected to take a share in the management of approved food businesses, special treatment registrations and outdoor events.  The team is also responsible for infectious disease control and private water supply monitoring.  You will be able to demonstrate a track record of dealing with complex cases, contributing to business process improvement, and leading by example.

About You

If you have the following, we’d love to hear from you:

  • A full Environmental Health Practitioner registration with CIEH or EHRB
  • Have extensive practical experience of working as an EHO within local government undertaking duties in relation to Food Safety and Health and Safety
