Derbyshire County Council is seeking an experienced Emergency Planning Officer to support the delivery of high‑quality emergency planning, preparedness, response and recovery arrangements across Derbyshire.

The role involves leading emergency planning projects and workstreams in line with the Civil Contingencies Act 2004, providing professional advice on resilience and business continuity, developing and maintaining emergency plans, and working closely with a wide range of partners through the Derbyshire Resilience Partnership. You will also contribute to training and exercises and participate in the emergency planning on‑call rota.

You will have significant experience in emergency planning or resilience work, strong communication and organisational skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a multi‑agency environment. A relevant professional qualification (or equivalent experience) is essential.
