Ashbrook Infant and Nursery School is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified, experienced, highly motivated, and dedicated Team Leader (Level 4 Teaching Assistant HLTA) to support teaching and learning in the classroom to maximise the participation of our children.

The role will include working with the class teacher to create a stimulating learning environment through excellent classroom practice, plan and deliver intervention sessions for key groups delivering high quality lessons following the planning given.

This is a fixed term contact from September 1 2026 until August 31 2027 due to pupil numbers.

Ashbrook Infant and Nursery School is situated in Borrowash on the border of Derby City and Derbyshire. We welcome children into our Acorns Class for Nursery in the term after they turn three. In the main school, we have four classes: Hazel Tree are our Reception class, Elm Tree are our Year 1 class, Willow Tree are our Year 1 and 2 class and Oak Tree are our Year 2 class. At the end of Year 2, our children move on to Ashbrook Junior School which is on the same site as our Infant and Nursery School. From September 2026, we will welcome Maple Class as our hub for children with Special Education and Development Needs from Reception to Year 2. This HLTA role will be based within Maple Class.
