The Teaching Assistant plays a vital role in supporting pupils’ learning and wellbeing at the Duke of Norfolk, C of E Primary School. 

Teaching Assistants work closely with teachers and the Senior Leadership Team to ensure all students are able to access a high-quality, inclusive education. This role is particularly focused on supporting pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), both in lessons and within wider school life and enrichment activities. 

Under the guidance of the Headteacher, Assistant Head /SENCO, the Teaching Assistant will provide targeted support to individuals and small groups, helping pupils engage with learning, build independence, and make meaningful progress. The role involves supporting classroom activities, assisting with planning and assessment, promoting positive behaviour, and contributing to a calm, supportive learning environment.
