Teaching and Learning Assistant SEND (2 Posts)

The Headteacher and Governors at Swanwick Primary School would like to appoint two highly effective SEND Teaching & Learning Assistants to join the team in September 2026 (8.30am-3.30pm with an hours lunch).   

The successful candidates will be working primarily with pupils with EHCPs in years 2 and 5.

The successful candidate will need to have the following talents/ characteristics: 

• Love working with young people and in schools.
• Have good behaviour management strategies and a knowledge of relational practice.
• Be a highly effective practitioner that can work towards to outcomes outlined in an EHCP.
• Have a knowledge of SEND
• Be organised, self-motivated and manage their own work load/ timetable effectively.
• Be a team player
• Have an excellent working knowledge of safeguarding young people.
