Our school is on an exciting journey to develop into a beacon school for Trauma-Informed, relational practice—improving our offering for all children but specifically supporting those with unmet needs.

Hours: 8.30am – 3.40pm

Role Summary:

We are seeking a Specialist SEND Teaching Assistant to support access to learning for pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, providing general support to class teachers in managing pupils within the classroom as and when required. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the school's newly developed SEND Hub / Nurture Provision.
• Deliver targeted learning programmes and monitor pupils' responses to learning activities.
• Modify and adapt activities as agreed with class teachers to achieve intended learning outcomes.
• Plan and develop differentiated learning activities using a strong awareness of child development and pupil learning.
• Accurately record and report on the development, progress, and attainment of children while working under your own direction.
