We are seeking to appoint a flexible, dedicated and caring Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching and Learning Assistant to join our supportive and passionate team at Chapel en le Frith C of E VC Primary School.

Our school is a large primary with a nursery and enhanced resource provision, offering inclusive support for children with a wide range of special educational needs. Due to growing demand, we are expanding our team to continue providing high-quality support to children with SEND.

The successful candidate will work closely with the SENDCo and class teacher to support pupils in line with their EHCPs, which may include providing intimate care and attending relevant training sessions.

Key Requirements:

  • Recent experience working in a nursery or school with pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) is essential.
  • Experience supporting pupils using alternative and augmentative communication is desirable.
  • A full and relevant Level 2 qualification is essential; Level 3 is desirable.

We are a welcoming school with a friendly team and a committed Governing Body that supports staff development. This fixed-term position runs until August 2026, with potential for extension or permanency.
