Are you an enthusiastic and committed practitioner looking to make a real difference?
Riddings Infant and Nursery School is seeking a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly, inclusive team.
The successful candidate will have a passion for supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), providing one-to-one and small-group support to help them access learning and make progress. You will support the implementation of EHCP’s, adapt learning activities to meet individual needs, and work closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure pupils receive high-quality provision.
A caring and flexible approach is essential, along with strong communication skills and a commitment to promoting positive behaviour, safeguarding, and pupil wellbeing. The role may include supporting pupils with personal care (training will be provided).
Previous experience working with children or supporting pupils with SEN is desirable; however, training and ongoing support will be provided for the right candidate. A good standard of education, including GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent), is required.
We are committed to supporting our staff and offer access to continued professional development, mentoring from our experienced SENCo, and a comprehensive wellbeing programme. Opportunities to undertake additional qualifications, including NVQ, HLTA or SEND training, may also be available.
Provisional Interview Date: 6 July 2026
Due to this post having access to children and/or vulnerable adults, the successful candidate will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
