Alfreton Park is a lively, successful special school for pupils aged 2 to 19 years, with severe and profound learning difficulties. The school has a strong commitment to child safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils and expects all staff and volunteers to respect this commitment. 

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational development of children, particularly those with special educational needs. Reporting to the classroom teacher, your responsibilities will include providing tailored assistance to students, fostering an inclusive learning environment, and implementing strategies for children and young people with additional needs. 

Your core skills in working with children and special education, combined with your premium skills in teaching, will be essential in enhancing student engagement. Strong communication will further enable you to connect effectively with students and their families. Join us in making a meaningful impact on young learners' lives. 

Applicants need to have a love of learning, enjoy a challenge and have the ability to develop strategies in problem solving. We require people who have enthusiasm, energy and are able to contribute positively to the class team. 

The successful candidates must be prepared to work across the school and must be flexible and available to work
