This is an exciting time to join Tibshelf Community School as we make a significant investment in the continued development of our SEND provision. As part of our wider inclusion strategy, we are expanding our team through the recruitment of four new colleagues, strengthening our capacity to provide high-quality, personalised support and ensure that every young person has the opportunity to thrive.
We are incredibly proud of the reputation we have already established for providing exceptional support for pupils with special educational needs, and these new roles represent the next stage in that journey. We are looking for caring, committed and enthusiastic people who share our belief in truly inclusive education and who want to make a tangible difference to the lives, confidence and aspirations of our young people.
Whether you are already experienced in SEND or looking for an opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive and ambitious team, this is a fantastic time to become part of the Tibshelf Community School community.
This role will provide dedicated 1:1 medical supervision for an identified pupil throughout the school day, in accordance with the pupil's Individual Healthcare Plan, risk assessments, emergency medication instructions and the school's procedures.
The postholder will monitor for signs of medical need, respond promptly to changes in the pupil's presentation and take the action set out in the pupil's current healthcare and emergency plans. This may include seeking urgent assistance and administering or assisting with the administration of prescribed emergency medication, but only where the postholder is trained, authorised and acting strictly within the current written plan and clinical instructions.
This is a medical supervision and safety role. The postholder is assigned to the identified pupil and must not be redirected to general classroom, administrative or Teaching Assistant duties where doing so would compromise the required level of supervision.
Please see our Recruitment Pack for further information.
