Are you a passionate, empathetic, and proactive individual with a proven track record in supporting families? Do you believe that strong family partnerships are key to a child's success?

The Park Schools Federation is looking for a dedicated and experienced Family Support Worker to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of our pupils and their families across our schools.

The Role:

As our Family Support Worker, you will be a vital link between our schools, families, and external agencies. You will provide practical, emotional, and targeted support to ensure that all children within the Federation have the best possible opportunities to thrive.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing confidential one-to-one support, advice, and guidance to parents/carers facing a wide range of challenges (e.g., attendance, behaviour, emotional wellbeing, financial difficulties).
  • Planning, delivering, and evaluating family support programmes and workshops.
  • Working closely with school staff (SLT, Inclusion Lead, Class Teachers) to identify needs and develop effective support plans.
  • Acting as a key point of contact and referral for external services, such as social care, health providers, and voluntary organisations.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential records of support provided.

We're Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has previous experience in a family support, social care, or school-based role.
  • Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust quickly.
  • Has a thorough understanding of the challenges facing families today and the local support services available.
  • Is resilient, highly organised, and can manage a varied caseload independently.
  • Holds a relevant qualification in childcare, social work, counselling, or equivalent experience.
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

What We Offer:

  • The chance to be part of a supportive, collaborative, and forward-thinking Federation team.
  • An environment where your skills and initiative will be genuinely valued.
  • Access to high-quality CPD and professional development opportunities.
  • A rewarding role where you will see the positive impact of your work daily.

Please contact the school office on 01623 742663 or enquiries@parkfed.co.uk, to make an appointment and see our fantastic school in action.

Viewing times are:

Tuesday September 30 at 4pm

Wednesday October 1 at 2pm and 4pm

The closing date is on Monday 06/10/25 at 5pm. Interview date is to be confirmed.
