Swanwick Primary School is a fantastic place to work — staff morale is high, and our team is kind, inclusive, and supportive. Our children and families are dedicated and engaged.
We are looking for a compassionate, relational and dynamic Family & Children’s Support Worker to join our Inclusion Team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who believes that strong relationships are the foundation of great inclusion. You will work closely with families, pupils and staff to deliver high‑quality Early Help support and ensure every child feels safe, included and able to thrive.
As a key member of our Inclusion Team—and a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead—you will coordinate Early Help across the school, lead TAFs, complete Early Help assessments (including home visits), and attend multi‑agency meetings such as Child Protection Conferences. You will also be a first point of contact for staff seeking advice about referrals and safeguarding concerns.
The role includes delivering our Parenting Toolbox course (based on the Solihull Approach), personalising this for families, and building strong, supportive relationships with those facing challenges. You will also play a central role in promoting good attendance, tracking pupils’ patterns, and working with families to remove barriers.
If you have outstanding people skills, experience supporting families, and a passion for relational, inclusive practice, we would love to hear from you.
Visits to the school are highly recommended and can be booked in by contacting the school office on 01773 602268
