Tailor Made Programmes (TMP) is seeking professional, dedicated and enthusiastic Sessional Teaching Assistants to join a bank of Teaching Assistants and to be part of our supportive team.
Tailor-Made Programmes (TMP) are short-term, child centred, and focused on pupils returning to school or transitioning to an agreed appropriate setting. Programmes are planned and overseen by qualified teachers. Sessions may be delivered by a teacher or teaching assistant (TA) and can be in person and/or online.
Referrals can be made to TMP from other agencies and services, and from schools where a child has been absent for more than 15 days, or who is temporarily without a school place or waiting for an agreed placement, or where there are other factors which make school attendance difficult.
The Successful candidate will be :
- Supporting pupils with their learning, providing individualized support to pupils with SEND, including those with autism, ADHD, SEMH, and speech & language needs.
- Assisting the teacher in delivering differentiated learning activities.
- Building positive relationships with pupils to promote self-esteem and independence.
- Working collaboratively with teachers and other staff to provide the best possible support.
- Assisting with the preparation of learning resources.
- Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to the teacher.
- Supporting students with social and emotional development.
Skills and Experience:
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to working with children who may have additional or complex needs.
- Basic understanding of the school curriculum and SEN.
- Experience in supporting students with SEND, or a willingness to develop skills in this area.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
