The Lead Officer – Inclusion Support Advisory Service role within the Children’s Services department is a pivotal position aimed at enhancing the quality of early intervention and the graduated approach to inclusion within mainstream schools.

The successful candidate will provide leadership for the education cluster locality areas, ensuring that all pupils thrive. The role requires effective partnership working with education providers, health and care professionals, and families to support children and young people with SEND. The Lead Officer will also be accountable for the delivery of high-quality support and advice around targeted and specialist inclusion, ensuring meaningful monitoring and evaluation of the service's effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in managing and developing colleagues, leadership roles within an education setting, and a strong commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
