Derbyshire County Council has some exciting new opportunities and wishes to appoint a number of Home Education Link Officer posts.
We are looking for motivated and dedicated applicants who can demonstrate a strong passion for working with home educating families and be responsible for:
- delivering national Elective Home Education (EHE) statutory compliance – and the underpinning legal duty to ensure all children have access to an education suitable to their age, ability, aptitude and any special educational needs
- contributing to effective and high-quality interagency partnership – including robust liaison with parents, schools and learning providers, SEND and CME colleagues, social care and health services, alongside other DCC and external stakeholders
- providing relevant information, advice and support to families who are considering or have chosen to home educate their child
- promoting the wellbeing of Derbyshire’s young people through continuing development of knowledge, skills and understanding regarding safeguarding
