Gamesley Primary School is a wonderfully warm, vibrant, and happy place to work. Nestled within a close-knit community with high levels of economic deprivation, our school is a vital hub of support, ambition, and care for our families.

If you want a role where you can make a tangible, life-changing difference from the very start of a child's school journey, you will find it here. Our children are absolutely lovely, our families are incredibly supportive, and thanks to our consistent, nurturing approach, behaviour across the school is very good.

What Our Children Need

Our youngest learners are looking for a Teaching Assistant who knows exactly how to help them thrive. They flourish with adults who are:

  • Kind: Ready with a warm smile, a helping hand, and endless patience.
  • Strict: Gentle but firm in maintaining the clear routines and high expectations that make them feel safe.
  • Fair: Ensuring every child gets the attention, care, and equal opportunities they need to grow.

The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our Reception team for an exciting journey over the next academic year. Early Years is where the magic happens, and you will play a pivotal role in shaping our children's first formal experiences of school.

This role involves lots of fun and hard work. From muddy outdoor play and creative phonics support to helping children develop their independence, you will be right at the heart of the action. We laugh a lot, support each other fiercely, and work tirelessly to give our children the best possible start in life.

Who We Are Looking For

  • A qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant with a genuine passion for the Early Years Foundation Stage.
  • An enthusiastic practitioner who brings energy, creativity, and joy into the classroom and outdoor learning spaces.
  • Someone who understands that positive relationships with parents and carers are key, and will invest time in getting to know our lovely community.
  • A proactive team player who loves a challenge and thrives in a happy, fast-paced environment.

Why Join Gamesley?

"Staff morale is high, and visitors frequently comment on the tangible warmth and happy atmosphere that flows through our corridors."

We offer a supportive and collaborative team, excellent professional development, and a staff room that feels like a community. Most importantly, you will get to work with children who genuinely love coming to school.
