We are seeking to appoint a reliable, organised and enthusiastic Design & Technology Technician to support our busy and successful DT department.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with practical skills and a proactive approach to play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across Design & Technology.
The successful candidate will support staff and students by:
- Preparing materials, tools and equipment for lessons
- Maintaining machinery, equipment and workshop areas
- Supporting safe working practices and health & safety procedures
- Assisting with stock control and ordering supplies
- Supporting practical classroom activities where appropriate
- Ensuring workshops and preparation areas remain organised and safe
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
- Has practical and technical skills relevant to Design & Technology
- Is organised, adaptable and able to work independently
- Has a good understanding of health and safety within workshop environments
- Works well as part of a team
- Has good communication and problem-solving skills
Experience in a school environment is desirable but not essential.
