We have a vacancy for a full time Social Worker in the South Derbyshire Youth Justice Team to cover maternity leave. The team operate from a base in Ilkeston and cover Erewash, South Derbyshire and South Dales.
The Youth Justice Team is made up of Social Workers and Family Support Workers who are supported by staff on secondment from the Police, Psychology, CAMHS and Speech and Language. We prioritise both trauma informed and child first practice. We highly value our staff which is why one to one meetings with psychologists are available to promote staff welfare. Social Workers in Youth Justice work in a multi disciplinary way to help young people move away from involvement with the Youth Justice System.
