We are looking for a Social Worker to join the Children in Care Team in the Erewash Locality of Derbyshire based at Mercian Close, Ilkeston. You will be working alongside an experienced Team Manager and Practice Supervisor including Social Workers and a Community Care Worker in the team.

  • Grade 9 - £37,253 pro rata made up of:

o             Basic salary per annum: £33,253

o             Market supplement payment per annum: £4,000 pro rata

  • Grade 10 - £37,324 - £40,527 pro rata made up of:

o             Basic salary per annum: £34,324 to £37,529 pro rata

o             Market supplement payment per annum: £3,000 pro rata

  • Grade 11 - £40,629 - £43,928 pro rata made up of:

o             Basic salary per annum: £38,629 to £41,928 pro rata

o             Market supplement payment per annum: £2,000 pro rata

 What will you be doing:

  • Provide a quality social work service that supports individuals and communities to achieve their potential.
  • Effectively manage a caseload to achieve the best outcomes for individuals, groups, and communities.
  • Working in partnership with individuals build and sustain relationships, identify needs, and develop plans and responses that meet those needs

What skills and experience do you need:

  • BA Honours in Social Work Qualification (refer to job and person profile for more information).
  • Current Social Work England registration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a person-centred approach to building a rapport and relationships with children and families.
  • Ability to reflect on own practice and development enabling flexible and thoughtful social work practice and positive change.
