As a member of the Stronger Families Team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting parents and carers with children aged 10 – 17 years who are at risk of being accommodated or who have a plan to return home to their families. You will have a pivotal role in achieving changes needed for this to be a successful outcome for these young people.

We offer planned support for identified needs for families with children, working with the FAMILY model to provide tailored interventions with the aim to achieve sustainable for families.

There are posts available in both the stronger families team north and stronger families team south. Travel to the office base will be required. You will attend weekly face to face group supervisions and work across the locality teams, as well as working from an office base and attending development and team building sessions. You will visit parents and carers in their home to complete direct work, as part of our support to them. This diverse role offers the chance to make a real impact on the lives of vulnerable children and families.

The stronger families team also offer case formulations, of which you will be a part of for your families and other families in need of a service.

We have a rota system to provide some crisis intervention in the evening on a weekday and in the daytime on a weekend. Whilst we have this service on offer every day, this is on a needs basis and is a planned intervention agreed by the end of the working day. Please contact the team manager for further information if required.

The fixed term position is currently based at Mercian Close, Ilkeston with a view to moving to Chesterfield.  Secondments will be considered for this post .
