Are you passionate about giving babies and young children the best possible start in life?
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Family Help 0-5 team in the High Peak, working directly with children and families to strengthen parenting capacity, support children's development and help children be ready to learn and thrive as they approach school.
As a Family Help 0-5 Practitioner, you will work alongside families and partner agencies, providing practical, evidence-based support that responds to children's individual needs. You will be supported by the Family Help Senior Practitioner and will play an important role within our targeted Family Help Service.
Your role will include:
- Working with families and partner agencies to develop clear action plans with measurable outcomes.
- Assessing and tracking children's development and progress, including their readiness for school.
- Delivering targeted, evidence-based early-years interventions for children who may be at risk of developmental delay.
- Delivering parenting programmes.
- Providing advice, guidance and signposting to parents and carers.
- Maintaining high-quality records and reports.
- Contributing to safeguarding processes and multi-agency plans that help children remain safe and achieve positive outcomes.
We are looking for someone who understands the needs of children aged 0-5 and can build positive, respectful relationships with children, parents, carers and professionals. You'll be confident working both independently and as part of a wider team and passionate about making a tangible difference for children and families.
If you have experience in early years and want to use your skills to provide early, purposeful support that improves outcomes for children, we'd love to hear from you.
Please see the job description and person specification for full details of the essential qualifications, experience and skills required for the role.
