The Deer Shed is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Chef to join our café team in Alfreton Park. This is more than a chef role. Alongside preparing high-quality food for our café, catering events and wholesale customers, you will support and inspire young people aged 19-25 with additional needs as they develop catering, employability and life skills. 

What you'll do

• Lead food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Develop menus and maintain excellent food standards.
• Support and coach young people in catering and workplace skills.
• Create a positive and inclusive kitchen environment.
• Help young people build confidence and achieve their potential.

• Experienced chef with strong kitchen skills.
• Positive, organised and able to work in a busy environment.
• Passionate about supporting and developing others.
• Committed to high standards of food hygiene and safety.
• Flexible, adaptable and enthusiastic.
