John Flamsteed Community School is looking to appoint a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to join our dedicated premises team. 

The successful candidate will help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our pupils, staff and visitors. 

Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning classrooms, offices, corridors, toilets and communal areas.
• Ensuring areas are cleaned to a high standard.
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately.
• Replenishing cleaning materials where required.
• Following the school's cleaning procedures and health and safety requirements.
• Reporting any maintenance, damage or health and safety concerns.
• Working as part of the premises/cleaning team to maintain high standards throughout the school.

The successful candidate will:

• Be reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Take pride in their work and have good attention to detail.
• Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Have a positive and professional approach.
• Understand the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding within a school environment. 

Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential, as training can be provided for the right candidate.
