🌳 About Us 🌳
The Morewood Centre is a short break centre for up to ten people with a Learning Disability and/or Autism. Our home is in the middle of the beautiful Alfreton Park. Our mission is to provide a stimulating and enjoyable environment which people look forward to returning to.
👴 The Role 👴
We are seeking caring, dedicated individuals to join our team as Senior Care Workers. You will work under the guidance of a Care Lead each shift. You will play a vital role in supporting people with activities, social interaction, promoting independence, and ensuring their well-being in a safe and friendly environment. This includes supporting with nutrition and hydration, personal care, and medication. We work with over sixty different clients, which is a lot of different personalities, some of the people who use our service may display behaviours that challenge therefore its essential that you are happy to support clients who may be challenging.

- Provide high-quality, person-centred care to clients, tailored to their individual needs.
- Support clients to participate in social activities and maintain their independence.
- Maintain accurate and timely care records.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure the highest standards of care are upheld.
- Working as part of a valued care team you’ll be ensuring our clients stay happy, healthy and well.
- Supporting people in the community, either by yourself or with other staff.
❤️ About You ❤️
- Experience in a care role is an advantage but not essential—full training will be provided.
- Experience in supporting people who may display behaviours that challenge us preferred.
- A kind, compassionate approach with a passion for supporting people with a Learning Disability and/or Autism.
- Enthusiasm and willingness to plan and carry out activities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A commitment to promoting independence and dignity in care.

All posts are a mixture of early and late shift, between 7am and 10pm, and working every other weekend.

The job may require unsocial hours working including weekends and Bank Holidays. Payment arrangements will be detailed in any contract offer made.
Saturday and Sunday hours will be paid at plain time where it is part of your normal working pattern unless it is between 7pm and 7am, where enhanced rates of pay apply. Enhanced pay rates are paid for Bank Holiday working.
