Occupational Therapy Coordinator. 2 Positions

Position 1

Permanent Part time (18.5 hours per week). To meet the needs of the service working days are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Location: Chesterfield

Position 2

Full Time (37 hours per week) - Fixed Term until 31 March 2027
Location: Clowne (Bolsover Area)

We are seeking a motivated and proactive Occupational Therapy Coordinator to support the Bolsover area within our North Area Occupational Therapy Team.

About the Role

As an Occupational Therapy Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting and coordinating the progress, administration, and workflow of Occupational Therapy interventions. This includes managing cases where major adaptations have been recommended.

You will work closely with people and their representatives, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, and a range of internal and external partners to ensure timely and effective service delivery. Your work will directly contribute to improving outcomes for individuals and supporting a customer-focused, proactive approach to risk management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate a caseload of Occupational Therapy interventions, including major adaptations.
  • Support the smooth running of the Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) process, identifying and addressing delays.
  • Liaise effectively with individuals, families, colleagues, and partner agencies to gather and share information.
  • Organise, attend, and record various OT service meetings.
  • Attend, organise relevant information for, and record outcomes of meetings with external partners.
  • Track progress of recommendations and highlight actions required to support delivery.
  • Escalate concerns where necessary to maintain momentum and effective outcomes.

What You Will Bring

  • Strong administrative skills, including experience with IT systems such as Excel and Microsoft Teams (Mosaic experience desirable).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships.
  • A proactive, solution-focused approach and high level of motivation.
  • Ideally, experience working with people with health and/or social care needs.
  • Ability to travel for occasional home visits.
