We are hiring part time Deputy Unit Managers at Shirevale and Hasland Resource Centres

Service: Non-Integrated Day Centres for Older People

Department: Adult Social Care and Health

Grade: 9

As a Deputy Unit Manager, you’ll lead on managing operational activities within the unit, supporting a dedicated team to deliver a responsive, person-centred, 7 day a week Day Care service with an increasing  focus upon supporting people with dementia. You’ll play a key role in safeguarding, designing and delivering service provision, and promoting independence and dignity for those accessing our care with drive and creativity.

We’re looking for individuals with a strong experience in care settings, strong communication and management skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement and learning. A real passion for supporting people with dementia is a must, and this role offers the chance to make a real difference in people’s lives as a part of the management team within a new leadership structure. You will not only lead operations on site, but support a redesign of our Day Opportunities offer, as we aim to provide flexible, innovative ways of supporting our communities whilst truly enhancing the life of every person we support.

The job may require unsocial hours working including weekends and Bank Holidays. Payment arrangements will be detailed in any contract offer made.

Saturday and Sunday hours will be paid at plain time where it is part of your normal working pattern unless it is between 7pm and 7am, where enhanced rates of pay apply. Enhanced pay rates are paid for Bank Holiday working.
