We are pleased to invite applications for two roles within the Adult Care Contracts and Commissioning Division. These positions will contribute to the effective contract management of services delivered by the private, voluntary, and independent (PVI) care sector.

Available Positions:

1: F/T Contract Manager, fixed term contract for 12 Months (covering a secondment) within the Older Adults Care Home Team.
2: F/T Contract Manager, permanent contract within the Community Based Contract’s Team.

 Role Overview

Both posts involve responsibility for managing a designated portfolio of contracted providers to ensure that commissioned services are delivered in accordance with the Council’s contractual requirements, statutory obligations, published professional guidance, and Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations. A core function of both teams is the ongoing management of the PVI care market to ensure that its provision continues to meet the evolving needs of Derbyshire residents. Through rigorous contract monitoring activities, we identify areas of quality concern or contractual non‑compliance and work collaboratively with providers and key stakeholders to ensure that remedial actions are implemented in a timely and effective manner.

We lead and provide guidance on all aspects of contract management and in addition the post holder will be responsible for undertaking market shaping activities to meet required Care Act responsibilities. Accordingly, these roles require strong communication, analytical capabilities, sound contract and risk‑management skills, and the ability to establish and maintain constructive, professional working relationships with both internal and external partners.
