The Public Transport Team is looking for an enthusiastic, customer focussed person to join the team to provide administrative support.

The post is part time (two days per week, working on Thursday and Fridays) with hybrid working.

You will be required to perform a variety of duties which includes; responding to enquiries from members of the public via e-mail and telephone, processing of orders and invoices, providing plans of utilities infrastructure.

You will also be required to provide other administrative support as required, including organising and taking notes at meetings, compiling simple spreadsheets and covering tasks for colleagues as required.

You will support with the implementation of service improvements and excellent customer care, and work within a team to contribute and achieve required performance targets.

The successful applicant must be numerate, flexible, possess good interpersonal skills, and able to organise and prioritise their own workload to meet strict deadlines.  Attention to detail and accuracy are essential requirements of the post. The post holder should have excellent communication skills, and a working knowledge of Microsoft packages.

The ability to speak fluent English in order to be able to communicate fully in the role with clients/the public is required.

Please note: This position will transfer to, and be employed by the East Midlands Combined County Authority (EMCCA) by the end of March 2026. This role will be part of the TUPE process, and the successful applicant will be involved in the consultation procedures with EMCCA’s HR representatives.
