We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Executive Assistant to provide exceptional support to senior Directors across our Place, Strategy & Inclusive Growth, and Resources Directorates.
This is a fast-paced and varied role where no two days are the same. You will play a key role in enabling Directors to operate effectively by managing competing priorities, coordinating complex activities, and ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations.
About the Role
As Executive Assistant, you will provide high-quality administrative and organisational support to senior leaders, acting as a trusted point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
You will:
- Manage complex diaries, meetings, travel arrangements and schedules
- Coordinate communications and prepare documentation for meetings
- Support recruitment, onboarding and HR coordination activities
- Assist with financial administration including purchase orders and expenses
- Build strong working relationships across teams and partner organisations
- Handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality
- Respond quickly and effectively to changing priorities and urgent requests
- Support continuous improvement in administrative systems and processes
This role requires someone who can work independently, remain calm under pressure, and confidently manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking someone who thrives in a busy environment and enjoys problem-solving, organisation and supporting senior stakeholders.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in an Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant or similar support role
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach
- Experience working at pace and meeting competing deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive working relationships
- Advanced Microsoft Office 365 skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- A calm, diplomatic and professional approach with high levels of confidentiality
Experience within the public sector is desirable but not essential.
