The Education Data Hub is recruiting to a permanent post within the Data Protection for Schools Team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality data protection services for schools and multi-academy trusts (MATs) across the country.

The role will centre on providing high-quality administrative and operational support within the Education Data Hub’s Data Protection Service, ensuring compliance with data protection and freedom of information legislation.

This includes supporting the end-to-end processing of Access to Information Requests—such as Subject Access Requests (SARs), Requests for Records (Education), and Freedom of Information (FOI) requests—through accurate logging, alongside the organisation, collation, and preparation of information and documentation to support disclosure.

The postholder will coordinate system notifications, manage correspondence with schools, multi-academy trusts (MATs), and internal teams, and ensure the secure handling of sensitive information. They will also support the administration and coordination of Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), contribute to compliance checks and reporting, and play a key role in maintaining effective operational processes.

The role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities, as well as excellent communication skills to build and sustain positive relationships with both internal colleagues and schools/trusts.

The Education Data Hub is an award-winning, customer-focused traded service that brings together Data Protection, Cyber Security, Online Safety, IT for Schools and Data Management services for all educational settings. The team is committed to making a meaningful difference, and this role offers the chance to be part of that.
