We have an exciting opportunity for a candidate to join our evolving One Council Business Services function. This role offers variety, responsibility, and the chance to contribute to a service undergoing transformation and innovation.
What’s involved?
You’ll play a key role in providing efficient, high quality and effective administrative services to support a broad range of business services activities. The successful candidate will:
- Provide support to a range of staff groups including; operational managers, stakeholders and clients
- Support service developments and change initiatives, ensuring tasks are effectively organised and managed Administration of client information systems, ensuring accuracy of data and confidentiality are maintained
- Work closely with internal and external partners establishing effective working relationships
You’ll need to be proactive and have a forward-thinking approach, be confident with IT systems, financially aware, and able to produce accurate records and quality minutes. The role currently focuses on supporting Community Support and Resilience Team within Public Health, alongside wider Business Services functions such as health and safety, information systems, and administrative support.
Key tasks include:
- Organising, coordinating, planning and prioritising a range of processes, activities and projects
- Managing multiple shared email inboxes across various workstreams including; Safe Places, 50+ Forums, Volunteer Passport/Volunteer Gateway and Social Connection, First Contact, and Health and Wellbeing Team
- Accurately input, manage, analyse, and present data to support operational decision-making and KPI reporting
- Producing high quality documentation and publications, providing advice and guidance, establishing effective working relationships and engaging stakeholders
- Provide administrative support for meetings, including committees, AGMs, forums, and subgroups, ensuring timely preparation and distribution of materials
- Suggest improvements to operational efficiency and quality of service of own area through improvements in procedures/processes
What we’re looking for:
- Vocational/NVQ Level 3 qualification in Administration (or equivalent)
- Significant experience in a similar administrative or business support role
