We are looking for a committed and capable Team Leader (Grade 7) to support the delivery of our Scheduling Service within Corporate Services & Transformation Business Services function.

This is a key operational leadership role where you will supervise a team of business services colleagues, ensuring work is well coordinated, resources are effectively deployed, and service standards are consistently met. You will work closely with a Business Services Manager, contributing to a responsive and efficient service that supports frontline delivery.

What you’ll be doing

As a Team Leader, you will:

  • Provide day-to-day supervision and coordination of a team, allocating tasks and ensuring priorities are clear and managed effectively
  • Support the smooth delivery of scheduling and business support activities, ensuring services operate efficiently and responsively
  • Monitor workloads and team capacity, reallocating tasks where needed to meet demand
  • Promote a positive team culture, supporting staff wellbeing, development and performance
  • Provide guidance and advice to colleagues and operational services on business processes, systems and procedures
  • Ensure accurate use of systems (e.g. scheduling tools, trackers, databases) and maintain quality standards in data and processes
  • Carry out quality assurance activities, checking work is completed accurately and in line with procedures
  • Act as a first point of escalation for queries, issues and service pressures, resolving where possible or escalating appropriately
  • Support resource planning by monitoring activity, maintaining records, and contributing to reporting requirements
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve processes and ways of working
  • Work collaboratively with managers and stakeholders to ensure business services effectively support operational delivery

What we’re looking for

This role would suit someone who:

  • Has experience supervising or coordinating a team in a business support, scheduling or operational environment
  • Is organised and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting
  • Has strong communication skills and can build effective working relationships
  • Is confident using IT systems, including databases, spreadsheets and digital tools
  • Has experience supporting service delivery through allocation of work and resource management
  • Can use judgement to resolve problems and escalate more complex issues appropriately
  • Pays close attention to detail and ensures high standards of quality and accuracy
  • Has an understanding of service processes and how business support enables frontline delivery
  • Is proactive, flexible and committed to continuous improvement
  • Demonstrates professionalism, resilience and a positive approach
