We are seeking to appoint a dedicated individual to join our team as a School Business Assistant following the retirement of our current postholder. The post is a permanent contract for 32 hours a week over a 40-week period. The role of the School Business Assistant is to act as the initial point of contact for parents, families and visitors to school, alongside providing an efficient and effective administrative and clerical support service for the Head Teacher and staff of the school and the families who attend the school. They must possess excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to a high level of accuracy and be able to multitask in a busy school office.
Additional knowledge of invoice ordering, school IT systems and databases and website management are essential to the role as is an understanding or awareness of the legislation around GDPR and safeguarding. The school will ensure training is provided for the right applicant if needed.
We have a School Business Manager who will work closely with the School Business Assistant in a supportive role. They will work on pupil data, policies, attendance, registers and will support some of the administrative roles in the office.
